The Best Double Stroller for Disney

Going to the theme parks with two kids can be a little overwhelming. You’re trying to keep everyone happy and comfortable (and also yourself!). As a parent, convenience is everything- I’m going to show you the stroller we use and why I think it is the best double stroller for Disney. I will also show you a few of the accessories we use and how we pack it!

The Stroller

The double stroller that we use is the Zoe Twin+. It is one of the best things I’ve ever purchased since having a second kid. I’m truly going to be sad when we grow out of it.

To start with- it weighs only 18 pounds (10 pounds lighter than most other doubles), which is the absolute lightest given the features it has. It truly makes a huge difference for travel in general- getting it in and out the car, collapsing it, storing it, and dealing with it in an airport.

The stroller lies almost completely flat and gives the kids a ton of room on each side. Despite being a roomy side-by-side, it is still compact enough to fit through a standard door frame or elevator door. I can push and maneuver it with one hand while holding food or drink in the other. We can extend the sun shades pretty far down to provide all the privacy and/or sun protection you could need. It is amazing for naps, which is SO important! My kids aren’t huge on naps anymore, but they have been falling asleep in this stroller- and the full recline is awesome.

Accessories + Essentials

We always pack all of our necessities in our diaper bag: enough diapers for the day, a full thing of baby wipes, Clorox wipes, medicine, hand sanitizer, extra clothes, a wet/dry bag, portable chargers, and sunscreen.

We also bring our 40 oz Hydroflask bottle to keep in the bottom of the stroller. Disneyland, California Adventure, and Universal Studios all have a few drink machine locations in their parks where you can fill up with free ice and water. We try to work it into our plans to fill up whenever we pass through one of these locations.

We use this parent organizer on the back of our stroller. It is amazing for holding things you would want to keep within immediate reach- cell phones, chargers, autograph books, snacks, sunscreen, and drinks.

It’s also really easy for your stroller to get lost in the sea of strollers at Disneyland. To help with this, we wrap battery powered fairy lights around the handle bar so that we can easily spot it. We’ve done all kinds of different battery powered lights over the years, but these are currently my favorite because they are the least in the way.

Stroller Locks

Stroller theft is a thing I’ve read about on multiple online forums. We keep these locks on for when we’re leaving it somewhere for a while. You’re not allowed to lock it to the park property (railings, fences, gates, etc.), so we use these to lock the wheels together. This makes it incredibly difficult to push if someone were trying to go a long distance with it. Cast members are often moving strollers around to keep pathways as clear as possible, so they still need to be able to move it. I also keep an Apple air tag hidden in the stroller to keep track of it’s exact location when we are not near it. We then use this long luggage lock to secure our diaper bag to the stroller frame so that no one walks off with it. I’m not sure why anyone would want someone else’s diaper bag, but I’ve read about all kinds of things getting taken- jackets and clothes too. It’s like 1-2 minutes of extra effort, but I don’t really have to worry as much about something happening that would majorly inconvenience my day.

Rain Cover

We’ve only had one instance where we’ve had to deal with rain while in the parks, and we brought along a universal double stroller rain cover (I usually just store it my trunk). In a pinch, you could get by with throwing a couple of theme park rain ponchos over your stroller.

Ever since we got this stroller, we’ve completely stopped using our wagon for zoo trips and in places where they are allowed. (Disney does not allow wagons unless you have prior approval from their Disability Access Service program). I absolutely adore our double stroller, and it really is the best double stroller for Disney. I’ve seen so many other options in the wild, and I really couldn’t fathom using anything else.
